The Executive chairman of Isolo Lcda felicitates With all residents and constituents of the area council. In a statement released on the council media platform ;
" My dear good people of Isolo LCDA, it is incontrovertible that Eid-el-Adha (Ileya), more than any other Islamic festival, unifies us across divides and peculiarities given the high sense of charity, love and kindness that usually come with it for our Muslim brothers/sisters and the willingness to embrace by non-Muslims alike not only by dining together but the acceptance of the various beef gifts as well.
The foregoing notwithstanding, I wish to remind us the significance of this season which is faithfulness as exhibited by Prophet Ibrahim (A.S.W.) on account of whose experience the festival started. It is expected that we inculcate and renew our faithfulness to Allah and ourselves in the spirit of the season. By so doing, we would remain obedient to Allah and cohabit peacefully with neighbours for the overall good of our nation.
Let me appeal, as I usually do, that the celebration should be devoid of unlawful and untoward conduct that could mar the inherent socials and supposed celebratory gains. Lawfulness and diligence should never be compromised so that our dear LCDA and, on a larger scale, the state could remain the most habitable that it is. Needless to say that our patriotism and sense of civic responsibility as we head into the 2023 general elections are sacrosanct.
May I, at this juncture, share in the joy of our brothers and sisters especially those from our council area who have graciously descended mount Arafat and completed this year's Hajj rites. May their homecoming be divinely protected.
I wish you all a very happy Sallah celebration. "
