The Lagos State Congress of the PDP was held on Sunday 27th of February , the Congress committee was lead by His Excellency the Governor of Bayelsa state Senator Douye Diri . Hon. Philip Aivoji defeated his closest rival Dr Amos fawole to emerge as the new elected chairman of the party .
Also announced was the supreme leader of PDP in oshodi isolo LG , immediate past chair of chair in Lagos also Deputy chairman of national conference of LGA chairmen ; Hon. Sunday olaifa as he emerged the new elected Vice chairman Lagos west .
Hon. Olaifa appreciated the Apex leader of Lagos PDP Chief bode george , chief ogunkelu , Eng. Doherty and the southwest zonal secretary for their support .
" What a good God that answer by his power, l give glory to God and Man, a special thank you to everyone,The leaders at the various levels, LGA and wards Exco members, delegates and all PDP faithfuls in Lagos State, special appreciation to our top leaders Chief BG,Dr ogunkelu,Mrs maina,engr deji Doherty,the DNS, The Fmr governorship candidates of the party in the state ,fmr State chairmen, All PDP elected house of reps members from lagos State,Hon Rahman owokoniran and other s/w officers from Lagos State, all Fmr senatorial candidates etc thank you for your support which made me emerge as the aspirant with The highest number of votes i.e well over 900 votes,thank you I AM grateful, for me nobody has lost anything and nobody has won anything , The PDP and All of us are winners pls let's all come together, work and rescue lagos State by winning the 2023 general election,as at today Lagos is under colonization only our unity, togetherness and working together as a team at state, LGA and wards level can free Lagos, For me winning Lagos is possible for a political party that won 6 house of reps and 8 State House of assembly members in the 2015 general election and the one and only God shall Make it possible For us by his grace, Yes we can do it and it shall come to past by God grace, my regards to you all SUNDAY OLAIFA chairman elect PDP Lagos West senatorial "
